Achieve paper-thin slices with a single stroke from this extra-long sujihiki hybrid slicer. Essentially a thinner, double-bevel yanagiba, this knife is engineered for buttery smooth slicing of roasts, fish, cured meats, BBQ and vegetables. Featuring a pointed tip for ease of piercing (and differing from the standard Gladiator Series 12" slicer) as well as hollowed out dimples for minimizing friction and stuck on food, this blade is engineered to maintain the freshness of the ingredients it cuts through ultra clean slices. The slightly taller than normal blade profile allows for improved pinch grip and control, while also allowing the blade to perform chops, something most other sujihikis cannot perform. This hybrid is a highly versatile slicer and great addition to any carver, meat slicer or BBQ'ers knife roll.
The Gladiator Series blade is precision forged from a single piece of imported premium quality, high-carbon ThyssenKrupp German steel, ensuring an ultra sharp edge with excellent wear and stain resistance. Hand sharpened 14-16 degrees per side, the Dalstrong Gladiator Series slicer is a high performance kitchen workhorse.
Featuring a beautiful, ergonomic and ambidextrous imported black pakkawood handle imported from Spain (laminated for extra strength, sanitation and water/stain resistance) the Gladiator Series slicer is carefully designed for maximum comfort and maneuverability.
