Beautiful Set with Sharp, Quality Knives
"This Dalstrong knife set is a great combination of style and functionality. The knives feel sharp, well-balanced, and comfortable to use, while the ultra-slim acacia block takes up very little counter space. I really like the sleek design because it looks more like a kitchen accent than a bulky knife block. The five-piece set covers the essentials and feels well-made enough for everyday cooking. Definitely recommend!"

A distinctive knife set worthy of my chef expertise
"My dad who was a chef passed his passion on to me. So when I start cooking I have a go to knife set. These are my new go to knives. Lightweight, and distinctively Dalstrong they not only cut like a pro knife set but feel like it. Usually my knives have a heavy handle which at times is needed for chopping. None of these knives has a handle but they handle well when cutting meat, veggies, fruit, fish. The knife block looks more like a cutting board than a knife holder. Not really my liking but it holds the knives well without knife slippages."

Incredible performance
"This knife set is seriously impressive. The knives feel sturdy and well balanced in my hand and they are incredibly sharp right out of the box. They slice through meat, vegetables and just about anything else with very little effort. The block is also really nice looking and makes the whole set feel much more high end sitting on the counter. I especially like that everything has its own place instead of having random knives tossed in a drawer. The different display options is super convenient as well. So far, the quality has been excellent and these definitely feel like knives that are going to last. Just be warned, they are SHARP. I learned very quickly that these are not the knives to absentmindedly grab while cooking! Just a beautiful, solid set that looks great and performs even better."

Slim Block With a Very Sharp, Solid Knife Set
"This knife set makes a strong impression from the start, especially because of how slim the block is. At only 24mm, the acacia block takes up very little counter space compared with a traditional bulky knife block, which I really like. The wood looks clean and the magnetic slots give the whole setup a more modern appearance. The knives themselves feel very sharp. The X50CrMoV15 steel blades came ready to cut, and I did not have to put much pressure behind them during my initial use. The edges felt precise and moved through food cleanly instead of dragging or crushing. That sharpness is probably the first thing I noticed once I actually started using the set. The G10 handles also feel very solid in the hand. They have a smooth but secure feel, and the full tang construction gives the knives a balanced, substantial weight. They do not feel hollow or flimsy, and the handle shape gave me good control while cutting. The magnetic storage design works well too. The knives settle into the slots securely, and I like that the dock can be used in more than one orientation depending on how I want it positioned on the counter. That gives the set more flexibility than a standard block that only works one way. The acacia material adds a warmer look to the setup and keeps it from feeling too industrial. The block stayed stable on the counter during my initial use, and the narrow profile makes it easy to fit beside other appliances without taking over the workspace. Build quality feels strong across the set. The blades looked evenly finished, the handles were fitted cleanly, and nothing felt loose when I handled each knife. The magnetic slots also lined up well and held the knives where I expected them to. For value for money, the sharp blades, full tang G10 handles, magnetic storage, and slim acacia block all add useful features. This feels more thoughtfully designed than a basic knife block set, especially if counter space matters. What stood out most to me was the combination of sharpness and the slim storage design. The knives cut cleanly with very little effort, and the block keeps the whole set organized without using much counter space."

Beautiful, razor-sharp full-tang set with a space-saving block
"This 5-Piece Knife Block Set is undeniably a premium, well-crafted collection, but the high price point makes it a tough pill to swallow. The knives arrive razor-sharp and feature full-tang construction. They feel solid in the hand, cut exceptionally well, and are clearly built to last for years. Their lightweight design is something to get used to though. I'm definitely used to having more heft to my knives. The included Acacia wood block and dock assembly is very attractive and went together easily. Its magnetic design holds the knives securely while taking up minimal counter space, which is a major bonus for keeping the kitchen organized. Between the premium packaging, sleek modern aesthetic, and brand reputation, it would make an impressive, high-end gift for someone who loves cooking. However, at $399, it's very difficult to justify the cost. While Dalstrong makes great products, at the end of the day, it's a 5-piece kitchen knife set. It feels like it should be priced anywhere from 50% to 75% of what it's currently listed for. Overall, if price is no object and you want a sharp, space-saving set from a reputable brand, you won't be disappointed in the quality, but for most buyers, the steep price tag is hard to recommend."

Slim profile; industrial, masculine look
"I got these because I have a small kitchen and needed a set of knives that didn't take up too much counter space while still providing the quality I wanted. Dalatring knives are excellent, and these are no exception. Keep in mind that everything about this set is slim-profile, including the handles, which you may love or may hate. It's really a personal preference. I like an industrial look for the kitchen, and these match it perfectly. I could not be happier. The knife assortment is also exactly right. Most people want to match steak knives to their dinnerware instead of to their knife block, so I'm not lamenting the lack of them in this set. The knives included are just right for every kitchen task unless you make a lot of very specific meals that call for very specific knives. The chef knife and pairing knife are perfectly appropriate for most kitchen tasks, and here you even get a few more convenient options. I am very happy with this handsome set. If you are buying as a gift, it will be cherished. The skeleton style is a preference that makes cleaning a bit more difficult, but you can use better cleaning tools to address it. It's not a dealbreaker for me, because I own more than just a basic sponge. The price is a little high, but if you consider what you would have to pay for each knife with high-quality German steel, and for a slim magnetic block, it actually works out to a reasonable value. If you are unsure, wait for a sale. There aren't any so-so knives in this set as filler fluff."

Phenomenal knife set and an incredible gift for our son’s future place!
"We picked this Dalstrong set up for our son to help him get set up for when he moves into his own place, and honestly, this set is a absolute dream. If you're looking for something for someone starting out on their own—or just upgrading your own kitchen—you really can't do much better than this. First off, the knives themselves are fantastic quality. They are super sharp right out of the box and have a really nice, substantial feel in the hand. They're full-tang (meaning the steel goes all the way through the handle), which gives them incredible balance and strength. The G10 handles feel durable and non-slip, and the five included blades—Chef, Santoku, bread, fillet, and paring—cover every single thing you could ever need in a kitchen without any useless filler pieces. As long as you follow basic care instructions (hand wash them and dry them off right away), a high-carbon stainless steel set like this easily has the quality to last a lifetime. But can we talk about the block for a second? I have honestly never seen a knife block designed like this before. Instead of those giant, bulky wooden blocks that take up a huge chunk of precious counter space, this solid acacia wood block is incredibly thin—under an inch wide! It uses precision magnetic slots to hold the blades securely in place. It slides right between appliances or sits flat against the back splash, taking up practically zero room while looking like a piece of custom, modern art on the counter. Yes, it's definitely an investment set, but buying quality tools once that actually last year after year is so satisfying. Beautiful steel, amazing handles, and by far the best low-profile storage design I've ever come across. Absolutely love it!"

Premium Knife Set With a Unique Space-Saving Design
"This Dalstrong Arro Series knife set definitely feels like a premium product. The first thing that stands out is the design. It looks completely different from a traditional knife block, and the ultra-slim acacia wood block takes up surprisingly little counter space considering that it holds five different knives. The wood combined with the metal base gives the entire setup a very modern, high-end appearance. The knives themselves feel solid and well constructed. I really like the full-tang G10 handles because they feel sturdy without making the knives unnecessarily heavy. The open-style design of the blades also makes them considerably different from typical kitchen knives. They feel balanced in the hand, and the different sizes give you a useful selection for everyday food preparation. Another feature I really like is the magnetic storage system. The knives sit securely in their individual positions while still being easy to remove when needed. Being able to orient the dock differently is also a nice touch, especially if you're working with limited counter space. At $399, this is definitely an expensive knife set, so I would consider it more of a premium purchase than something for someone simply looking for basic kitchen knives. You're paying for the materials, construction, unusual blade design, and especially the presentation and compact acacia wood storage system. Overall, though, the quality matches the premium appearance. Everything from the knives to the block and base feels thoughtfully designed and substantial. If you're looking for a higher-end knife set that performs well but also looks impressive sitting on the counter, this is a beautiful setup."

Beautiful, light as feathers and the slim block is the perfect answer for small counter spaces
"I already own one of Dalstrong's large 18 piece block set, a few grill tools and one large butcher knife and love the brand but that block takes up real counter space. This Arro series solves that problem entirely and does it in a way that actually looks better on the counter rather than just being a space saving compromise. The acacia block is only 24mm thin which sounds almost impossibly slim until you see it in person and realize it genuinely slides between appliances or stands on its own without dominating the surface around it. For anyone with a smaller kitchen or a counter that is already doing a lot of work, this is the Dalstrong entry that makes real sense. The knives themselves are strikingly light. Some of them weigh less than a standard butter knife from a regular drawer set which sounds like it should be a concern but in practice the sharpness and precision of the blades more than compensate for the lighter feel. These are nimble precise knives designed for the kind of everyday kitchen tasks where agility and control matter more than heft. The chef's knife, santoku, bread knife, fillet and paring knife cover everything you reach for most during a normal cooking session without any filler pieces that just fill slots and never get used. The magnetic slots in the block protect the edge between uses which is a detail that matters a lot long term. Storing blades in a way that does not touch or dull the edge is one of the things that separates a well designed block from a cheap one. The precision fit of each slot also means the knives look intentional and organized rather than haphazardly stored. For someone wanting to start building a quality knife collection without committing to a large block and a full set, or for anyone who wants to replace an oversized block with something that earns its counter space through both performance and design, this is the right answer from a brand I already trust completely. It is also a genuinely impressive gift for anyone upgrading their kitchen setup."
